On Monday morning the Mother of God went to Colegio de San Juan Evangelista (the school of St. John the Evangelist). The school is run by the Diocese of Madrid in the town of Torrejon de Ardoz. The children welcomed the Mother of God in the schoolyard and carried the Icon to the school chapel themselves. During the welcoming ceremony and veneration the pupils sang songs written particularly for this occasion. The prayers lasted till 4 PM.
Next the Częstochowa Icon went in a solemn procession through the streets of the town to the church of John the Evangelist. After a short veneration the Mother of God returned to Alcala at Her Life Mobile, where She stayed at the convent of St. Clara sisters of St. Diego. The sisters kept vigil at the Icon for the whole night.
On Tuesday morning, February 19th, Our Lady went from Alcala to Rivas Vaciamadrid, close to Madrid and stopped at the modern church of St. Monica. A crowd of people was waiting for Her at 11AM. The veneration started. At noon the Angelus was said, and at 3 PM the Chaplet to the Divine Mercy. Next the Icon was taken to the church of St. John the Baptist. Here there was the diocesan night vigil for the married and engaged couples.
