Thursday, September 20th, was the last day of visitation in Slovenia. Our Lady visited Novo Mesto in the Dolenjska region near the Croatian border. Their St. Michael's Cathedral was filled with multitudes, even though it was a day of work and an early afternoon hour when the Mass was celebrated at 1:30 p.m. The Vicar General of the Diocese of Novo Mesto, Father Božidar Metelko, presided over the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
During his homily, he said that all of us must work hard for and put our complete trust in the guidance of Mary, so that the civilization of life and love will be victorious.
In the afternoon, the representatives of the Croatian Pro-Life Movement have arrived at Novo Mesto, extremely glad that they could meet for the cause of the fight for life under the patronage of the Queen of both their nations.
The Slovenians bade the beloved Blessed Mother a very heartfelt farewell and assisted Her up until they reached their country's border. The Icon passed through another EU border, so naturally there were some formalities anticipated, but after 10 minutes of inspections with the custom personnel, Our Lady safely entered Croatia and followed to the capital - Zagreb.
