Early Sunday morning, at 7:30 a.m., Our Blessed Mother in the Icon of Czestochowa arrived in the "Life Mobile" at the border crossing Feldkirch – Tisis, between Austria and the Principality of Liechtenstein. It must be noted that this is a border of the European Union, to which Liechtenstein does not belong, - neither does Switzerland. The border customs officer started panicking when he saw the Icon.
He completely did not know what he should do in this situation. At first, he demanded 1 million Euro Dollars in security deposit. After a lengthy explanation, he concluded that he does not have enough experience to make the decision and we would have to wait for his boss until Monday morning. The Austrians escorting Our Blessed Mother, who were getting upset about the increasing time delay, telephoned Father Roland, the Archbishop's master of ceremonies, who was already waiting with a group of the faithful for the meeting with Our Lady in Bendern (about 10 minutes from the border). 
Fervent prayer, talks, and a guarantee from the representative of the Church, assuring that the Icon will leave Liechtenstein in just two days, were successful, and Our Lady was allowed to cross the border. Because of this situation, the welcoming ceremony in front of the shrine in Bendern was delayed by about an hour.
The pastor of the Church of the Assumption of Our Beloved Lady, Father Roland Cassut, had organized a very solemn reception, having invited the Most Reverend Wolfgang Haas, the Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Vaduz (Vaduz is the capital of Liechtenstein), which covers the entire territory of Liechtenstein. Archbishop Haas is known for his decisive stance in defense of life and family. In 2011, he refused to celebrate Mass in honor of the national holiday, on August 15, as an act of his protest against the spreading of the legalization of abortion and against violating the rights of the Church.
The Archbishop greeted Our Blessed Mother in the Lourdes Grotto chapel in Bendern. The Icon was brought solemnly into the church, where the Solemn Pontifical Mass begun, celebrated by His Grace, the Archbishop of Vaduz. During the homily, the Archbishop reminded the faithful clearly, and with charity, about the basic principles of the teaching of the Church regarding the protection of the life of every human, from conception until natural death. At the conclusion of the Holy Mass, together with the faithful, His Grace prayed the Prayer of the Holy Father John Paul II from the encyclical "Evangelium Vitae." After the Mass, the Archbishop expressed his approval by showing how deeply touched he was by the wonderful initiative of the pilgrimage of Our Blessed Mother "From Ocean to Ocean" and personally thanked and blessed all those, who are involved in this work.
Abortion is illegal in light of the binding law in the Principality of Liechtenstein. In accordance with the penal code of 1987, a person performing abortion can be sentenced to one year in prison. If the abortion is being conducted for financial profit, the sentence is raised to three years. The penalty pertains to doctors, as well as to the women, who have decided to kill their own children, even those who go for abortion outside the borders of the Liechtenstein. The only exception, where abortion is allowed, is in a situation when the pregnant woman's life and health is in danger, or when the pregnant woman is less than 14 years old.
