Thursday morning and especially the afternoon were opportunities for children from primary school to come and see the icon. In the morning at 8:15 there was a holy mass especially for children from sixth grade. Pastor Dr. theol Roland Graf already had explained them earlier about the Our Lady from Czestochova and From Ocean to Ocean. The children were very eager presenting the intercessions. It is great to see that the children still can be won for Christ.
At the end of the morning and after the Eucharistic adoration, Josef Schelbert from Drusberg Voyages played “Maria zu lieben” with the alphorn. This instrument is typically for Switzerland but also for Austria.
From one to four o’clock pastor Erich Camenzind explained everything to and prayed with over all five classes from first to fourth grade in the church St. Antonius in Rothenthurm. He explained that the only wish of holy Mary is to lead us to Jesus. After having prayed two mysteries of the rosary each child could light a candle and bring it to the Blessed Sacrament and to Virgin Mary. The children learned how to kneel down and to bow to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
In the evening rather adults came to Steinen, Schwyz, to the church St. James. Here people could come to Eucharistic adoration and rosary. The impressive monstrance was the one which was used to fulfil a miracle in Switzerland. The mountain near Steinen was supposed to creep and to spill the village. The priest of Steinen at that time took the Blessed Sacrament in the monstrance, went to the mountain to stop it in the name of Jesus Christ. The mountain creep was prohibited.
Later on in this evening, there was a holy mass with Pastor Rudolf Nussbaumer – also member of the board of HLI Switzerland and spiritual guide – followed by a candle light procession. Everybody was very grateful and people almost didn’t want to leave holy Mary and to go home, like in all the other places.
