On Sunday, January 27, Our Lady In Her Częstochowa Icon went to San Fernando y Chiclana de la Frontera, 10 kms away. She had been awaited there since 5 PM. During the welcoming ceremony a woman gave her testimony of her pilgrimage to Częstochowa 21 years ago for the World Youth Day. She said how her life had changed after that meeting.

Next there was an adoration until 6. PM, and the Mother of God left for the parish church of Santisimo Cristo (The Holiest Christ). Around 400 people participated in the procession. They stopped at the convent of Capuchin Sisters. After the welcome there was a night vigil in the parish of Santisimo Cristo.

In the morning on Monday, January 28 at 8.30 AM Rosario de la Aurora (The Rosary at Dawn) was said. Before noon children and young people from the schools of San Fernando came to pray at the Icon of Our Lady. Around 480 of them met the Mother of God. A presentation about the peregrination “From Ocean to Ocean” was prepared for the children. At noon the children said good by to the Icon.

At 4.00 PM the Icon left for the next town of  Chiclana de la Frotera, 8 kms away. The faithful were waiting for the Mother of God at the church of St John the Baptist. Among them there were children with their religion teachers who presented them to the Mother of God and gave them into Her Motherly Care. After the Rosary in the intention of the defence of life and family, a procession went into the streets to the convent of the Augustinian Sisters. There was an adoration there till 11.PM. Later the sisters closed the convent and held the adoration of the Icon of Our Lady by themselves all night.

On Tuesday morning, January 29, the Black Madonna was given a solemn farewell. Many people when they saw the Life Mobile with the Icon of Our Lady passing by made the sign of the cross and some shouted in a traditional way “viva” (may She live!).
