A great gift for the Church in Argentina was the pilgrimage of the Icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa traveling the world "From Ocean to Ocean" in defense of the civilization of life and love. Her presence has become a sign of hope, love and spiritual unity, connecting continents and the hearts of the faithful.
At the Bernardine Fathers in Puerto Libertad, Misiones Province - May 5-6, 2025
In the parish run by the Bernardine Fathers, spiritual sons of St. Francis and faithful sons of the Polish land, She was welcomed with open hearts. After a solemn welcome in the heart of the jungle and missionary work, the Rosary Prayer, Marian songs and supplication for the protection of life resounded - from conception to natural death.
Visit to Wanda – May 7, 2025 – an Argentine town with Polish roots. The local community welcomed Our Lady with joy and emotion, carrying Her in a procession surrounded by entire, local, prayerful families.
The next stop was Martín Coronado in the province of Buenos Aires – May 8, 2025, where Our Lady visited a nursing home for the elderly run by the Albertine Sisters. Words of thanksgiving for the life of every person, especially the fragile and forgotten, resounded in the chapel. The elderly, the sick, the sisters and the caregivers gazed at the Face of the Mother with childlike trust, entrusting their suffering and daily worries to Her.
Visit to Luján, the largest Marian National Shrine in Argentina – May 10-11, 2025
The icon of Our Lady of Częstochowa also reached Luján, the largest Marian Shrine in Argentina, where Nuestra Señora de Luján (Our Lady of Luján) is venerated – Patroness of the Nation. At 1 p.m., Archbishop Mirosław Adamczyk, Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina (from Gdańsk - Poland) presided over a Solemn Mass with concelebrating Bernardine Fathers from the Polish Catholic Mission in Martin Coronado Greater Buenos Aires urban agglomeration, with the intention of protecting every conceived life.
In this magnificent sanctuary, which has united Argentines of all social classes and languages for centuries, two images of the Mother of God met - Our Lady of Jasna Góra and Our Lady of Luján - in a symbolic gesture of love and peace.
The pilgrimage of this Holy Icon is not just an event - it is a spiritual pilgrimage of the entire Church, which learns to serve life with Mary. It is a call to prayer, to defend the weakest and to trust in God's Providence - recalls Sister Monika Chodowiec, Albertine.

During the pilgrimage in Argentina, the following quotes from the Bible were contemplated:
Blessed are you who believed (Lk 1:45) - Mary, who travels through Argentina, teaches faith and trust in God in every situation.
Behold your Mother (Jn 19:27) - The words of Jesus from the cross remind us that Mary is the Mother of us all. As the Mother of life, she brings comfort and hope to every heart.
Do not be afraid! (Mt 14:27) - Mary, Our Lady of Jasna Góra, comes with a message of courage – in times of confusion and uncertainty, she calls us to trust.
Closing prayer:
Our Lady of Częstochowa, Queen of Life!
We thank you for coming to our country.
Your gaze – full of tenderness and strength – touched the hearts of children, families, the elderly and the sick.
In Puerto Libertad, in Banta, in Martín Coronado and in Luján – in each of these communities, You left a trace of your presence.
Today we ask you:
- Teach us the love that protects life from conception to natural death.
- Make our homes a spaces of prayer and peace.
- Strengthen our hands to serve the poor and give our hearts unwavering faith.
Mother of Hope – lead us to your Son. Amen.
