Still at night on the 9th of January, continuing Her pilgrimage in Catalonia, the Mother of God went 35 km. inland to the farming area of Sentmenat, in the diocese of Tarrasa, to visit the Colegio Corazon de Maria (The school of the Immaculate Heart of the Virging Mary), run by the Foundation of Father Piulachs.

Late in the evening on the 7th of January the Mother of God arrived in Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, the second largest city in Spain. The Częstochowa Icon was welcomed and carried into Iglesia Medalla Milagrosa (the church of the Miraculous Medal). She was awaited there by a group of Poles with the local pastor, fr Xavier Pages. The prayers lasted till late at night. It is worth mentioning that Poles in Barcelona have their own little Chapel of Our Lady of Częstochowa, the Queen of Poland, at the parish of St Felix the African, where there is a copy of the Częstochowa Icon blessed by the Holy Father John Paul II on the 7th of November 1982 during his visit to Barcelona. On the 11th of November 2012 the Poles celebrated the 30th anniversary of the image blessing.
All the following day, the 8th of January, the Częstochowa Icon stayed in the church of the Miraculous Medal in Barcelona. At this parish there is CIDEVIDA – the Interenational Pro-Life Centre, second biggest in Spain.

On the 7th of January early in the morning at 7.30, the pro lifers from the town of Lerida-Lleida left for the shrine of Torreciudad to take over the care of the peregrinating Icon of the Mother of God. It was particularly cold for the south of Spain – 2 degrees below zero. At 9AM, after a solemn farewell the “Life Mobile” went to Tamarite near the town of Lerida.
On the feast of Epiphany Our Lady in Her Częstochowa Icon arrived in the famous Marian shrine of Torreciudad in Aragon, the region of Ribagorza, near the town of Barbastro. It is situated at a particularly picturesque place – on a mountain near the Cinca river, close to the man-made reservoir of El Grado at the foot of the Pirenees.

On Friday evening, the 4th of January, bishop Julian Ruiz Martorell awaited Our Lady of Częstochowa in front of the cathedral of Santa Maria (the Holy Mary) in Huesca in Aragon. This city saw the birth of St martyr Laurent (Laurentius) who was burnt on a grate in 258 during the persecution of Christians in Rome.
