On Thursday, February 21st a group of pro-lifers from the next Spanish diocese – Getafe – took over the care of the Icon of Our Lady in Ajalvir. The arrival at the first place in the diocese of Getafe – Pinto, took place almost an hour earlier than planned. The Capuchin Sisters were already waiting for the Mother of God and carried the Icon into their chapel themselves.

On Wednesday morning, February 20th, after the Holy Mass AT 10.45 AM, the Mother of God went to Willa de Loeches. The Icon was welcomed at the convent of the Carmelite Sisters. At noon they started a 12-hour prayer vigil in the intention of the defence of life entitled “from Russia to Loeches”.

On Monday morning the Mother of God went to Colegio de San Juan Evangelista (the school of St. John the Evangelist). The school is run by the Diocese of Madrid in the town of Torrejon de Ardoz. The children welcomed the Mother of God in the schoolyard and carried the Icon to the school chapel themselves. During the welcoming ceremony and veneration the pupils sang songs written particularly for this occasion. The prayers lasted till 4 PM.

On Sunday, February 17th, at 8.30 in the morning, the Mother of God In Her Czestochowa Icon went in Her “Life Mobile” to the town of Coslada, situated at the outskirts of Madrid. She stopped at a private school of Colegio “Mama Juanita” (Mummy Joanna), run by the “Cruzada Evangelizadora” (the Evangelisation Crusade). She was awaited by single mothers and children saved from abortion, the elderly from the care house and many inhabitants of Coslanda.

After returning from the prison the Częstochowa Icon stopped at the church of the Mother of God Major in Alcala. The veneration lasted for the rest of the day. At 7.30 PM the Holy Mass was celebrated and next the Icon was carried to the famous Capilla de las Santas Formas (the Chapel of the Most Blessed Sacrament), where centuries ago a eucharist miracle occured.
