On the 13th of March, around 4:00 pm, the Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa arrived at the Cathedral of Viana do Castelo, built in the 15th century. She was taken in procession into the church while the bells were solemnly ringing.

This past weekend, from March 8-10, the Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa was in the Chapel of the Consolata Missionaries in Fatima. This missionary institute is present in 24 countries, including Poland. They welcomed the Virgin Mary with much joy and organized moments of prayer in the presence of Mary, always with the intention that is associated with this pilgrimage: to pray for the respect of human life.

On March 7, the Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa was driven in her “life mobile” with the flags of Portugal, through the streets of Fatima. It was then taken to the Shrine of Fatima and placed in the Little Chapel of the Apparitions, at the spot where Virgin Mary of Fatima appeared to the shepherd children Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, in 1917.

The Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa arrived at Fatima in the night of March 3 and was received at the seat of the World Apostolate of Fatima, Domus Pacis, by Catholics of Latin and Byzantine Rite who knelt in front of it and prayed to the Virgin Mary. The Icon is now exposed in the byzantine chapel of Domus Pacis for veneration.
