On Wednesday, October 10, 2012, at 2:30 p.m., the Black Madonna arrived in Linz, in the state of Upper Austria (Oberösterreich), to stay at the church belonging to the General House of the Sisters of Mary of Mount Carmel. Our Blessed Mother was welcomed by Canon Regular, Father Franz Lang, the canon of St. Florian's Priory in Ansfelden, and the Carmelite Sisters.

On Monday, October 8, Our Blessed Mother was visiting the Austrian state (Land) called Niederöstrreich – Lower Austria. The day began at 6:30 a.m., at the Basilica Shrine of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, also known as Maria Roggendorf, which is located near the Benedictine Monastery of St. Joseph.

On October 7, 2012, on Sunday evening, the meeting of the Third International Committee of the Peregrination of the Czestochowa Icon "From Ocean to Ocean" took place. The committee took advantage of the fact that most of the leaders were already participating in the World Congress of Prayer for Life in Vienna.

Our Blessed Mother in Her Icon of Czestochowa arrived in the heart of the Austrian Church, which is the famous Cathedral of St. Stephen (the first martyr). It is the oldest and most important church in Vienna, and is located right in the center of the old city. As Austria's most eminent Gothic edifice, this cathedral is grouped with some of Europe's largest churches.

On Sunday, October 7th, Our Blessed Mother in the Icon of Czestochowa visited the Holy Cross Church on Rennweg, close to the city center of Vienna. After a solemn welcoming ceremony, a two-hour long veneration began. The church was filled with a large crowd of the faithful, even though the meeting with Our Blessed Mother was taking place already when the Sunday Masses were over, between 3:30 p.m. and 5:50 p.m.
