"The bishops of Scotland uphold the sanctity of human life from its beginning at the moment of conception until it ends with natural death. We never cease to invoke the protection of the Mother of God on all her children, especially those who are most vulnerable at life's earliest stages before they are born.

Great Britain will be the first English-speaking country that Our Lady in the Icon of Czestochowa will visit. For the past several months, the British organization committee for the peregrination has been very active under the direction of Dr. Thomas Ward,

During Our Lady's journey, South Tyrol was already in Italy. Next, North Tyrol was encountered, and the South Tyrol of Austria presented itself on the route.
On Friday, October 12, at 1:00 p.m., Our Lady arrived at Innsbruck. The Servants of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Ordo Servorum Mariae) greeted Our Blessed Mother warmly.
On Thursday, October 11, the travelling Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa came to Salzburg, Austria. She was solemnly greeted in the Greek Catholic Church of St. Apostle Mark, the Evangelist. The meeting was prepared by the Center for Byzantine Prayer of St. Nicholas of Myra and St. Mary of Egypt.

In the middle of the night, between Wednesday and Thursday, October 10-11, the Black Madonna arrived at the contemplative convent "Kinderalm" of the Sisters of Bethlehem, located high in the mountains. The uphill climb started from St. Veit in Pongau. What followed next was a laborious ride up the hill, which became more difficult due to the driving rain, the fallen leaves on the road surface, the darkness of the deep night, and the poor condition of the road.
