At 4:45 a.m. we left Schmitten (Albula) and drove towards Weesen with the beautiful scenery of the Lake Walen with the mountains around it and red, orange and yellow coloured trees at the shore and on the slopes. The icon has been all day in the church of the Dominican monastery Mary’s Shelter. Here nine sisters live and have arranged a very nice program.

Already at the early dawn, at 4:45 am on Wednesday, October 17, Our Lady began the journey to Weesen. On this route, She was greeted with stunning views of Lake Walen, surrounded by mountains covered with fabulous colors of autumn foliage of trees that were growing on the shore and on the slopes: red, orange, brown, yellow, and remnants of green. The Icon remained throughout the entire day in the convent of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Our Refuge.

Our Lady spent Tuesday morning in Chur, in the region of Graubünden, near the cathedral, in the chapel, where people came for veneration. Here, canons were sung, and the Most Reverend Bishop Vitus Huonder – the Ordinary of the Diocese of Chur - had the opportunity to spend a few quiet moments in silent prayer before the Blessed Mother and Jesus.

On a rainy Monday morning, the peregrination of the Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa began on October 15, in the mountainous area of Switzerland. The Icon was transferred to the Swiss at the Chapel of Mary in Triesen, located in the Principality of Liechtenstein. Fr. Andreas Fuchs helped transfer the Icon into the minivan, in which Our Lady was to travel.

Early Sunday morning, at 7:30 a.m., Our Blessed Mother in the Icon of Czestochowa arrived in the "Life Mobile" at the border crossing Feldkirch – Tisis, between Austria and the Principality of Liechtenstein. It must be noted that this is a border of the European Union, to which Liechtenstein does not belong, - neither does Switzerland. The border customs officer started panicking when he saw the Icon.
