They set off at dawn. It was not yet so hot and a light mist covered the ocean and mountains surrounding Rio de Janeiro. Traveling through the world "From Ocean to Ocean" in defense of the civilization of life and love, the Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa placed in a bus went to Corcovado - a mountain above Rio de Janeiro, on which a huge statue of Christ the Redeemer stretches its arms above the world.

As planned, on March 21, 2025, the Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa "From Ocean to Ocean" arrived by plane in Rio de Janeiro, beginning its pilgrimage to protect the civilization of life and love in Brazil. She was accompanied by Polish missionary Fr. Leon Juchniewicz, who has been serving the Church in Ecuador for 38 years.

Icon Writing – A Work of God
Icons are more than just religious images; they are considered “windows to heaven,” means by which the sacred becomes visible to man. In the Eastern Christian tradition, icons are not “painted” but “written,” for they visually convey the Word of God, just as the Scriptures do through text.
Every color, every gesture, and every element in an icon has a profound theological meaning. The true author of an icon is God. The iconographer is merely a faithful copyist, just as monks in the Middle Ages copied the Holy Scriptures. He does not create something new, but reproduces an eternal reality, serving as an instrument in the transmission of divine revelation through sacred art.
